A Big Purchase

Wow where have I been??  It feels like I just posted and that was actually a week ago.  My apologies.  You see, I have lots of important business going on right now because I'm buying a house!  That's right, I am purchasing my first house.  And let me just say that I've spent the majority of the last week stressed out.  So here are some pictures of me that I took last week before I was notified that my house bid was accepted.  I look much less stressed.

I will leave you will this short entry today, because I've been so stressed about a multitude of things that I now feel sick and really want to go to sleep.  Good night!

  1. Congratulations!! That's so exciting! You look comfy chic. So go drink some apple cider (or knowing you, tea) and kick up your feet (is that how the saying goes?)

  12. Oh my god! CONGRATS! Buying a house is a major milestone in one's life, and it's so exciting and stressful at the same time! It's great to be a homeowner. Really it is! It's a lot of work, but it feels good to know that you are making an investment. And, yes, the market may be bad, but it's like the stock market. The housing market has it's ups and downs! So excited for you! Decorating is definitely one of the funnest parts! -Jess L

  15. That’s very nice to hear. :) Don’t worry, after all that stress, you’ll end up fulfilled. I’m quite certain you’ve had moments when you wanted go back, to just quit the thing. It’ll help a lot if you have a realtor you trust or a mortgage adviser. It is important to get insight when you are not sure of what to do. What stage of the negotiation are you in now, by the way?

  17. ohmygosh awesome! that is such an amazing time - it will stop being stressful in a bit and just be awesome. i remember how awful it was trying to do bids and getting outbid and crap going wrong (someone wouldn't budge 1000 dollars despite us paying closing costs, putting 20 percent down, and the house being on the market for nearly 2 years...then we found out in their letter of why we should pay more it needed a new roof badly....so yeah) anyhow - it gets better! this outfit is so simple and cute and will be perfect for moving

  18. Good for you, Julia, and for your well-being as well! We know how the entire process can drain a whole lot of your energy and spirit. You didn’t look too harassed in your photos though. How’s everything now? I hope the house inspection went well. :D
