My New Etsy Shop!

I'm excited to share that I've finally opened my own Etsy shop! I've gotten into cross stitching, and have been having fun designing my own patterns. Now you can buy them and cross stitch too! They make for a great winter project, especially once the holidays are over and we're into the dark cold days of January. So if you're looking for an inexpensive and easy project, consider checking out my shop here!

Here's a peek at the designs I currently have listed. I have more on the way! Or if you're looking for a custom design, let me know and I'd love to work with you to come up with a pattern you'll love to stitch.
I promise I won't get super salesperson-y on here. I'm just really excited about this. Did I mention that they would make good Christmas presents for stitchers? Because they would :) Let me know if you have any suggestions for new designs!

Happy Cyber Monday!

Engagement Session

At the end of October we had our engagement photos taken by the very talented Lamarand Style Photography. I've been itching to share them since we got them back a few weeks ago. I am super pleased with the results! It was hard not to post ALL of the photos, so the fact that I got it down to 14 is impressive. So you've been warned... there are a lot of lovey-dovey photos ahead!

Engagement session success!

Crafty Friends & Christmas Gifts

I love a calm Sunday afternoon. It has cooled down in metro Detroit, and I'm curled up on my couch cross-stitching a rooster eating a watermelon. I love that nerdy crafting culture is so in right now, I can feel like a cool kid and be myself at the same time! Hah.

While my stitches won't be ready to sell for a while yet (I've got to build up my inventory of cross-stitch coolness), I've got a few creative friends who have sweet shops! So here is my shameless promotional post for them, because they're awesome!

Creatures by CC
This is my future sister-in-law Claire's shop. With her mad crocheting skills she creates the cutest little creatures! They're all her original designs, and I seriously can't get enough of them. In my living room alone I've got three of them hanging around and looking cute!

Impress Burlap Printing
This my is my friend Kaylee's shop. Always on-trend, this girl designs her own typographical quotes and prints them on burlap for framing. If you like the HGTV show Fixer Upper, this shop is for you! Psst... she takes custom orders too!

Rusty Feathers Design
This is my friend Sarah's shop. She is a super talented artist, designer and bird nerd. That plus having nifty screen-printing skills brings you a shop of clever creations!

Enjoy! While I hate to even bring up Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving (I know, I know... I'm sorry!) for those of you who like to get a jump on things, take a peek at these shops!
