Tea Time {lawn party}

For the conclusion of summer, it's time for a last big hurrah!  What better way to do that than to have an end of summer Lawn Party?  See how this month's two guests styled their looks!

Check out Jessica's blog, The Jessica L Blog

Check out Tara's blog, Penniless Socialite

I've never actually been to an official lawn party but I imagine it to consist of summer dresses, sunhats, cocktails, and games of croquet.

For the past week or so, Michigan weather has been chilly in comparison to the outrageous heat we've had this summer.  It's been a nice break and it's making me look forward to the upcoming fall months!  So even though it's still summer, I decided to go back to serving hot tea.

I hope you enjoyed this month's Tea Time!  Be sure to check out Jessica and Tara's blogs! I'm so happy they took part in my tea party.

I'm out of ideas... what should the theme be for September?  I'm taking suggestions! :)

Tea Time {sundaes on sunday}

What a hot summer it's been so far (in Michigan at least)!  So it's quite appropriate that this month's Tea Time theme is Sundaes on Sunday!  See how July's Tea Time guests styled a look for the ice cream shop!

Check out Ashley's blog, Magnolia Grace Style

I had a lot of fun with this theme.  What a hot day for photographing though, the ice cream was melting so fast I'm glad I got a few shots in before the heat totally destroyed my treat!

Continuing with the summer of iced tea, this month I came up with my own little twist.  Seems really basic but it's actually really good!

I hope you enjoyed July's Tea Time! I'm really glad to have come across Jessica, Samantha, and Ashley's blogs.  They each have their own super cute look so make sure to check them out!

Tea Time {nautical}

It's that time again!  This month's Tea Time theme was Nautical.  See how June's Tea Time guests styled their looks for a summer day on the boat:

One of the joys of summer is being out on the water.  Whether you're on a lake, ocean, sailboat, or yacht, it's all so peaceful and relaxing.  If don't have access to a boat, just sitting on the edge of a dock or boardwalk is fun too.  I love "looking out to sea" even though my "sea" is actually a lake!

This month I thought I'd make the switch to iced tea!  It's much too hot to have hot tea out on the boat.  You'll want a nice cool refreshing glass of...

I hope you enjoyed this month's tea time! Be sure to check out Adrienne, Maria, and Sarah's blogs!  They all have such fun style!

Tea Time {picnic in the park}

May's Tea Time theme is Picnic in the Park.  See how this month's guests would attend a picnic in the park for Memorial Day:

I thought that Memorial Day weekend would be the right time to attend a "picnic in the park."  To me, Memorial Day weekend marks the true beginning of summer, even if the actual season doesn't start for another month.  The weather is hot, the grass is green, and we're ready to picnic!

This month I'm serving Peony White tea.  I tried this one out a few weeks ago when it was still cool enough outside to drink hot tea.  But remember, any hot tea can easily be made into an iced tea treat!  If it's hot where you are, add some ice cubes to this drink and get outside!

I hope you enjoyed this month's Tea Time!  I know I had fun putting it together.  Next month I think I'm going to start the switch to serving iced teas for the rest of the summer's Tea Time posts.  What do you think?  Yes?

If you're interested in being featured, email me at cupofteastyle@gmail.com, I'd love to meet you!  I still have some inquiries from last month that I revisit when putting together the next post but I'm always interested in discovering new bloggers!

Happy Tea Time!

Tea Time {april showers}

The theme of April's Tea Time post is appropriately April Showers. See how this month's guests styled a rainy day outfit:

Check out Becky's blog, Becky Bedbug

Check out Candice's blog, Teatime Thoughts

Check out Halina's blog, Halina Myers Personal Fashion

I see a connection in our rainy day outfits, and it wasn't even planned!  What's the common characteristic of Becky's hat, Candice's shirt, Halina's pants, and my dress?  Together we could make one snazzy outfit! Haha.

This month I'm serving Osmanthus Oolong.  A few weeks ago I tasted this kind for the first time and snapped a photo to share with you.  Yummy stuff, that's for sure!

I'm really glad I discovered these bloggers after my last Tea Time post. They each have great style and I'm excited to continue following them (okay, that sounded like I'm a creeper, I'm really not, I just enjoy reading their blogs!)

I hope you enjoyed this month's Tea Time!  If you're interested in "attending" May's Tea Time, send me an email at cupofteastyle@gmail.com.  I've still got some interested bloggers who inquired last month, but I'm always looking for new and inspiring blogs to follow and feature!

It's Time for Tea!

The theme of March's Tea Time is in celebration of the new season: Florals.  I see spring!  See how my three guests have incorporated florals into their outfits:

And what I'm wearing to tea:

This month I'm serving Dragon Well White tea.  I recently got the chance to try this kind at my favorite local tea spot Goldfish Tea.  It's soooo tasty!  I snapped this pic on my phone to share its prettiness with you!

I chose these three guests for a few reasons.  First, I love reading their blogs and commenting back and forth on each other's posts.  They each seem like people I would invite to tea in real life!  Second, they each have great style!  The outfits they post on their blogs always continue to inspire me.

I hope you've enjoyed Cup of Tea's first edition of Tea Time!  If you're interested in "attending" April's Tea Time, shoot me an email at cupofteastyle@gmail.com.  Each month I will have a theme, whether it be something as simple as florals, or something more creative (I don't have any specific examples yet... feel free to suggest themes too!)

Happy Tea Time!
